A Letter from the Founder

Dear Friend,

Every movement begins with a story.

Mine began with pain, but it did not end there.

Born into poverty, abandoned by parents, survivor of sexual, physical and emotional abuse. I

understand what it means to carry invisible wounds, question your worth, and wonder if life

can ever be different.

Through courage, prayer, meditation and assistance from others, I never gave up HOPE and

believed that life still had a purpose for me. Today, I understand what that purpose is. My

story is meant to be a source of hope for others.

For years, we opened our home to individuals and families in need. We used our own

resources to provide encouragement, clothing, financial assistance, and practical support

because we believed that if we could help even one person, it would make a difference. As

more people reached out for help, we realized the need was greater. This realization gave

birth to SoCaymanian.

Today, SoCaymanian is more than an organization. It is a movement dedicated to

reminding survivors that their past does not define their future.

My request and HOPE is that you will consider becoming a lifelong partner in our

SoCaymanian story through sponsorship-whether financial, in kind or service.

Born from the waters that surround our beloved Cayman Islands, the Coral Heart represents the strength, beauty, and resilience of our community.

Like the coral reefs that protect our shores, a caring community provides shelter, support and a safe place for those facing life's storms. Coral grows slowly, layer by layer, reminding us that meaningful change happens through patience, compassion and the collective efforts of hearts working together.

The heart shape reflects love, kindness and the belief that every woman and child deserves to feel valued, supported and empowered. The coral represents the foundation of our Caymanian Spirit -strong, connected and deeply rooted in caring for one another.

Just as the Coral reef creates a home where life can flourish, SoCaymanian seeks to creates opportunities where anyone can heal, grow and thrive. Each act of kindness, each helping hand and each contribution becomes another piece of the reef- building a stronger more compassionate Cayman Community.

The Coral Heart is more than a symbol; it is a promise; a promise to protect, uplift and nurture the lives entrusted to our care. Together, we build a community where every heart has a place to belong.
